New Horizons is a suspenseful adventure film made in 2020 by director Mikael Marcimain staring actor Allison Williams as Sara and actor Alexander Dreymon as Jackson. Plot Summary
Sara’s story begins in the middle of nowhere in the tropics, getting ready to attend her friend’s wedding. Sara bumps into her ex, Jackson, and tension is certainly in the air, and is somehow managed when the two decide to go on a trip on a private plane with the pilot, Freddy.
Things take a different turn the moment the plane takes off, the pilot Freddy is incapacitated, and now, it is apparent, the plane is being controlled solely by Sara and Jackson.
Sara’s inability to fly becomes their only saving grace. Communication with an ground air traffic controller Ellison who gives them directions and encourages them helps to stabilize the airplane and works with Jackson Sara on the rest of the flight.
Sara narrates the hardships she endures over the obstinately blue ocean. Her problems of weather causation, not only of the foggy storms and cloudy rains, but of the broken pilot on her navigation, and the stupid fuel too, which endangers the sanity of her descent command. Through all this, she knows she and the head can still make it.
It is always the nerve wracking hope of surviving which keeps Sara and Jackson going. Crossing the mental and their limited physical powers, Jackson had almost completed the rational sane hope and scrubbed it in his mental codes.
