Synopsis

In the 14th century during the reign of the Black Death in Europe, “Virgin Territory” depicts adventures of young adults during the quarantine in Florence while also outlining the 14th century Italian Romantic Comedy. Inspired loosely by Boccaccio and “The Decameron”, the work centers its themes on love, mistaken identity, friendships, and the art of narration.

The story begins with the Plague encouraging peasants and nobles alike to abandon the centers of trade and move to the country. This time of fear and uncertainty in Europe shifts to the adventures of young adults in the Villa outside of Florence.
