In desperation, Summer reaches out to Rhonda who is one of the few people that managed to escape from Mr. Crocket’s clutches many years ago along with Eddie who lost his daughter under similar circumstances. The trio pieces together the legend of Emanuel Crocket, a real-life children’s show host turned ghost who was said to have died in the 1970s and was brought back as a spirit because of a cursed VHS tape. They learn that Emanuel considers himself savior for mistreated children whom he ‘protects’ by abducting them from their parents—be they abusive or loving—warped sheltering around these kids stems from twisted guardianship mentality.
The trio battles Crocket in his warped television world studio, a bizarre set filled with puppets, broken props, and the children he has abducted. Summer fights back against the nefarious host with the same magic marker that formed the portal and ultimately divides him, freeing the children. Back in reality, Major’s situation is safe but he seems emotionally altered and possessed by a pulsating power stemming from the marker still sitting within his possession—an ominous undoing to bend towards.

Mr. Crocket is portrayed by Elvis Nolasco who delivers a chilling yet charismatic performance. He invitingly walks a fine line between unsettling and terrifying making his character oddly captivating which horror fanatics will find endearing.
Summer Beverly as played by Jerrika Hinton adds emotional depth as she anchors the story. Her despair-driven fierce determination journey serves as the film’s emotional grip.
